The Sudan Genocide Response Team of Congregation Har HaShem in Boulder is committed to encouraging public awareness about the need for political action on behalf of genocide victims in Darfur, and we are eager to collaborate with other advocacy groups. Any concerned individual is welcome to join us. In the past, we have attempted to influence elected officials through letter writing, petition and telephone campaigns as well as in face-to-face meetings. We have provided educational programs for schools and for the public and engaged in additional actions, including working on behalf of young women genocide survivors whom our Congregation brought to live in Colorado.

We believe that sustained prosperity and self-sufficiency is dependent on the education of children and adults. We emphasize the inclusion of girls and women in the educational opportunities we promote.
