Dorothy Gotlieb
Dorothy Gotlieb’s grandparents all perished during the Holocaust. As a result, she determined to commit her life to social justice, first as a social worker, and then dedicating her efforts toward policy – especially in education. She served two terms in the Colorado House of Representatives, one, as Majority Whip, and prior to that, as Chairman/member of the Colorado State Board of Education and as President/member of the Denver Board of Education. She has also held leadership roles in numerous local, state and national policy-related organizations. After receiving her M.A. in Management from Webster University, she attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government Senior Executive Program at Harvard University. She is currently an independent consultant on education and legislation matters.
