For Emmy Award winning journalist, Tamara Banks, the statement, “One Person Can Make A Difference,” is more than just words. She has recently returned from her second trip to the Sudan/Darfur region where she filmed her documentary short on slavery, “The Long Journey Home.” She is a host for PBS, KBDI-TV’s “Studio 12,” a weekly show that looks at issues in Denver and around the world. Ms. Banks is a well known former anchor/reporter at KWGN-TV’s WB2 News @ 9. Before arriving in Denver, she has also worked in Colorado Springs, Dallas, TX, and Albuquerque, NM. She has also been recognized for her journalistic work by the Colorado Broadcasters Association, Associated Press, the National Association of Black Journalists and the Colorado Association of Black Journalist.
