Rabbi Selwyn Franklin

Rabbi Franklin has served congregations in Durban and Cape Town, South Africa; Sydney Australia and currently is the rabbi of BMH-BJ Synagogue in Denver. He was a member of the South African and Sydney Batei Din and president of ORA (Organization of Rabbis of Australia). He lectured in the Law School of University of New South Wales, Australia and at the University of Natal in South Africa.

He attended Yeshiva University in New York from 1969-1974 and holds a BA from Yeshiva College, an MS from Bernard Revel Graduate School and his Semicha(degree for the rabbinate) from RIETS.

He was the Founder of Jews for Justice a human rights organization in South Africa, the Director of Public Relations at Bar Ilan University, and lectured at Orot Yisrael in Israel and at Moriah College in Sydney, Australia. He and his wife Eileen, also a graduate of YU, have three married children living in Australia and one married son living in New York, six grandchildren in Sydney with one on the way and another grandchild living in NYC.
